Die Formed Packing

Die forming or the Pre Compression Of Packing Rings allows them to distribute the mechanical pressure evenly along the entire sleeve. It also helps to eliminate the fine leak paths that exist between fibers of packing.

The result of die forming provides a better seal, ensures longer equipment life and reduces costly repairs and replacement of pump sleeves or shafts.

A braided packing ring that has been pre-compressed through die forming Will generally last longer since the blocking agents are not as easily washed out.

We provide quality dieforming, including PTFE wrapped ends, or wax dipped ends to prevent wicking in packing styles that are prone to it.
